Local designers shine at second annual Brooklyn Made fashion show at Industry City

“A Very Brooklyn Fashion Show” returned to the catwalk for its second annual event at brooklynONE Productions in Industry City on Oct. 15.

​

Hosted by Brooklyn Made Store, the show was part of Fashion Week Brooklyn and celebrated the talent and creativity of local designers, both established and emerging.

Fashion Week Brooklyn to Debut International Fashion Fair in London

Fashion Week Brooklyn is debuting its first international fashion fair in London Sept. 16 to 17.

 

The show will be held at London’s Indra Studios and will return to its home court with a flagship Brooklyn show happening Oct. 14 to 21. For the past 16 years, Fashion Week Brooklyn has extended its vision beyond the traditional runway show by fostering collaboration, community development, innovation and inclusivity. Nonprofit BK Style Foundation is the show promoter.

Rick Davy is the Founder and Director of BKSF and the Creative Director and Producer of Fashion Week Brooklyn (FWBK). Rick is originally from Trinidad and spent years traveling between New York and Montreal while training to be a professional dancer. Rick eventually became a full-time assistant manager at NYU Tisch School of the Arts film department and subsequently studied photography and film production.
