WHO WE ARE

​​​Fashion Week Brooklyn (FW\BK) is a bi-annual event founded in 2006 by Rick Davy and the non-profit BK\Style Foundation.

Within the first years of founding, Rick Davy sold his house to help fund his international fashion platform for emerging makers, designers, photographers, digital stylists, and other artists creating and functioning outside the corporate fashion scene.

Since then, FW\BK has encouraged thousands to live, grow, and create outside the traditional corporate fashion business machine.

Our intention is to open the gates for upcoming artisans, creatives, and designers, helping them to connect, grow, and be seen.​

We are extending FW\BK reach in other fashion centers including Japan, London, Milan, Sao Paulo, Johannesburg, Paris, Berlin, Lisbon, Mumbai, Amsterdam, and beyond. Any focal point where makers, artisans, creators, designers, stylists, and other juicy fashion exist.

We believe that fashion functions outside of the machine. The source of the first spark, idea, and inspiration cannot be found within the blind walls of corporations. It exists on the streets, in real-life situations, conversations, and experiences—where everything is connected.
